Top Ten Inspiring Quotes from Books (anything that inspires you, challenges you, makes you think, encourages you, etc.)

I don't keep track of quotes that much but here are some that I like. The first two are from books I read, some I saved on my computer, and some I favorited on tumblr.

1. "Books are nothing until they’re opened. Stories aren’t stories unless they’re told. Characters might be good or bad, but until you have known them they are neither and that’s worse" - Mobile Libary by David Whitehouse

2. "Sometimes, as we’re stumbling along in the dark, we hit something good" - Angelfall by Susan Ee

3. "There’s no such thing as a good book or a bad book. There’s a book that matters to a reader." -Maggie Stiefvater

4.

5. "Novels aren’t just happy escapes; they are slivers of people’s souls, nailed to the pages, dripping ink from veins of wood pulp. Reading the right one at the right time can make all the difference." -Brandon Sanderson

6. "Read as much as you can. Nothing will help you as much as reading." - J.K. Rowling

7.

8. "Readers, from my heart to yours: May you find the happiness you seek, the peace and joy and comfort of community. May you be safe and secure and strong. Be proud of who you are. Be visible so you can see each other, find each other, show the world our humanity. Be true to yourself and those you love. Use the words and actions against you to strengthen your will. Teach acceptance and celebration of difference and diversity. Keep your sense go humor. Recognize your place in history and continue to work for positive, peaceful social change." - Julie Anne Peters

9. "Books are for people who wish they were somewhere else." - Mark Twain
