Sept.9 - Hardback or Paperback?

this is hard I like paperback but I'm starting to love hardback. Paperback is cheap and easy to carry around. Hardback are pretty and sometimes when you take off the dust jacket, there is a surprise underneath. I do own a pretty good amount of hardcovers, from giveaways, buying used or bargain books and sometimes new. Also I like certain books in paperback and in hardcover.

I saved this snail's life today. It was in the middle of the sidewalk and If I wasn't looking down I would of stepped on it. I think someone already did because its shell is cracked. I pick it up and it looks like the shell is going to come off. 

Bookish Pics: My Bookshelf

Books under my TV Stand.

This is an updated version of my bookcase. I love this bookcase because it has doors but its small and not a lot of books fit. I like to put the recent or new books I bought or won on this shelf because I don't want them to get dusty. These are the ones I want to focus on and read this year.

Since I can never pick which book I want to read next, I'm going to start using my Book Jar Box and randomly pick. I noticed like 95% of  the books on this shelf is in a series or trilogy. When I finish Book One I will put the name of book 2 in the Box and so on. I might pick 2 or 3 books a month. 

These books I have on the side of my Bookcase. My Bookcase, I put on top of my dresser.

I cleaned out a drawer to put books in and its already FULL. 4 books in each stack. 

I have 130 Books. It really doesn't look like I have that much. I would say 50. I also want to giveaway some books. I want to do a giveaway one day.

I'm going to post some of my pictures that I take of books. I got inspired by other blogs and I want to get better at taking photos of books. Like the pretty ones I see on tumblr and instagram. 

I always feel like my photos are missing something, so I decided to add something to it, like the glasses or a toy. I need a better background and its hard to find because my place is so plan and there is always someone in the apartment, so I only take pictures in my room. My lighting sucks so I take pictures in the morning when the sun light is shining through my windows. 

Can anyone give me tips/ideas on taking pictures of books?
