Stacking the Shelves: Black Friday Haul

Stacking The Shelves is all about sharing the books you are adding to your shelves, may it be physical or virtual. This means you can include books you buy in physical store or online, books you borrow from friends or the library, review books, gifts and of course ebooks. It is hosted by Tynga's Reviews.

I got one book from Amazon (left) and the stack is from Bookoutlet.

I'am too lazy to put links.

Stacking the Shelves (35)

Pre-Order

This Ordinary Life by Jennifer Walkup - looking forward to this, I was pretty disappointed that this is how the book looks like (with that line). I thought it would be a beautiful normal paperback, but the cover is still pretty.

Barnes & Noble

I was not planning on buying any of these books. I went to goodwill and another thrift store but they had nothing. So I went to B&N and was just browsing around. I wrote some books down on my phone to add to my goodreads later.

Hemlock Grove by Brian McGreevy - I secretly love the show and would love to read this. I also love that cover.

Extra Life by Derek Nikitas - The cover drew me in and then I read the inside and was like 'sounds interesting, get it'.

Poodles by Amy Fernandez - Because I own a poodle and it talks about their behaviors and personality.

Stacking the Shelves (34)

On Wednesday I went to The Strand. I unhauled 14 books and bought 2 new books.

I got a used copy of Beastly Bones by William Ritter for $9. I knew they had it because I checked online and was hoping it will still be there. At first I couldn't find it, but then after looking on every shelf, I did. They had one left for that price and two more that was $16. I was so happy, that made my day. I also got The Silence of Six by E.C. Myers for $9 too. My library don't have it and I want to read it so I bought it. (even though I could of gotten it for kindle.)

Stacking the Shelves (32)

Bookoutlet had a End of Summer Clearance Sale, 50% off and I bought some books. 3 out of the 5 books were on sale.

Gravity & Hover by Melissa West - The concept sounds good and these covers are beautiful. The paperback for the 3rd book is so expensive (14.99, wtf?) I'm might buy it in Kindle Form.

Knife Edge (Young Sherlock Holmes, #6) by Andrew Lane - I couldn't get this anywhere else (library, bookstore) but then I seen bookoutlet had it for cheap and got it now because I don't know when I will be able to read it. I thought this was the last book but I found out their are two more, and I don't think I'm going to buy them because of cover in physical form because of cover change and money. Book 7 doesn't have a kindle form (which I don't understand) and Book 8 which is coming out in September does.

A Crack in the Sky by Mark Peter Hughes - I read this last year, enjoyed and seen it for cheap on bookoutlet that I got it. I would love to re-read this one day.

Necromancing the Stone by Lish Mcbride - I own the first one and haven't read it yet, so I bought the second one for when I do.

Stacking the Shelves (31): Birthday Edition

My birthday was on Friday, the 24th. After work I went to The Strand and Barnes & Noble.

I got Armada and P.S. I Still Love You from The Strand. I got Storm and The Secret Language of Dogs from Barnes & Noble. I won The Debt Collector from a goodreads giveaway and got it the same day.

Barnes & Noble had this event which I didn't even know about. It's called Get Pop-Cultured (for this month) and It was Fangirl Friday that day. There was prizes (which I didn't win) and some free stuff. It was so cool. On their website I saw they had Manga Mania day and I wish I knew about that. They had some posters I would of loved. Also Ernest cline was at Barnes & Noble on the 23rd. I missed it. :( I need to start checking their events now.
