Top 5 Character Tropes

I don't know many character tropes and I haven't read that many books to love them or hate them. But here are some I like and would love to read more from.

5. The Funny Friend/Character
  • Zuzana from Daughter of Smoke & Bones
4. The 'we can't be together for a stupid reason' trope or where character A assumes something and don't talk to character B - this one is a love/hate because I hate when it happens but I'm not going to hate the book because of it.
  • The Promise of Amazing by Robin Constantine
  • The Secrets of Attraction by Robin Constantine
  • To all the Boys I've Loved Before by Jenny Han
  • Isla and the Happily Ever After by Stephanie Perkins

3. The Smart/Clever Character (the one who got tricks up his sleeve and does things you would never see coming)
  • Sage from The False Prince by Jennifer A. Nielsen

2. Strong Female Character
  • Karou from Daughter of Smoke & Bone by Laini Taylor
  • Penryn from Angelfall by Susan Ee

1. The Rebel Chracter? The one who is different (but human) and have the power to save/change the world. They can't whine about it too.

  • A Crack in the Sky by Mark Peter Hughes (Everyone lives in a Dome and its starting to fall apart. The main character figures it out and tells trys to tell people. People are being hypnotized by something and he can break free from it.)
  • Brain Jack by Brian Falkner
  • Katness from The Hunger Games (only seen the movies)
This might be confusing. Sorry. :)

Favorite Chapter Headings

I don't keep track of Titles or the Art (unless it's really pretty), so I looked through the books I read that I own and my photos.

5. Evil Librarian by Michelle Knudsen. It looks like an old library take out card or whatever you call (picture on right)

 4. Brain Jack by Brian Falkner. I seen this title and it reminded me of the Tv Show, Prison Break.

3. Ink by Amanda Sun. Petals from flowers that was painted and the paint is dripping.

2. Isla and the Happily Ever After by Stephanie Perkins. I love the flower, like it was stamped on. I don't own the book so I couldn't get a better picture.

1. Hellhole by Gina Damico. I love the devil's tail on every chapter. The format of this book is a crossword puzzle.

Books You Read in One Sitting (or close to)

Besides Graphic Novels and short stories, I don't read a lot of novels in one day. I read books in two days but one day is very rare (but possible).

5.
All I remember was I stayed up all night reading this. I didn't go to sleep until the next night, 1:20am. I gave it 4 stars.

4.
Finished in one day. 4 Stars.

3.
Finished in one day. 4 Stars.

2.
I wrote in my book where I keep track of my reading that I read this in less than 24 hours. I gave it 5 Stars.

1.
6 hours.
I was really impressed with myself for reading a book in that time. It just happened, I took little breaks but I could not put the book down. I gave it 4.5 Stars.

What books have you read in one sitting?

Top 5 Wednesday: Books with Multiple POVs (really try to pick books with more than two)

I tried to pick more than 2 POV's but that's all I read. The authors did a really good job on writing every one's side of the story and what they are going through. They are all well written. I can't imagine these books being in one perspective.

Honorable Mention
POV: Isra & Gem (5 Stars)

5.
POV: Dash & Lily (4 Stars)

4.
POV: August, Via, Summer, Jack Justin, Miranda (5 Stars)

3.
POV; Karou & Akiva (5 Stars)
*correct me if I'm wrong but I believe it has two POV's, right? If not then I will take it out*
2.
POV: Lochan & Maya (5 Stars)

1.
POV: Max, his mother, I think there is one or two other POV's (I'm to lazy to look.) (5 Stars)
